Development UI
Plans
Preview warehouse changes and launch direct, virtual, or mixed builds.
The Plan view uses the same project analysis and warehouse inspection as sqt plan. Select a model
or pipeline to see the downstream closure, relation mutations, replay window, source coverage, and
applicable safeguards before any warehouse write occurs.
Launch a build
Section titled “Launch a build”The UI launches direct, virtual, and mixed plans through the same
sqt build --auto-approve --events execution path as the CLI. Protected pipelines still require
their exact configured confirmation values. Virtual work remains staged until promotion.
The displayed plan is a snapshot, not a lock. SQLTide performs a fresh command invocation for the build, records its own warehouse evidence, and never executes SQL copied from an older plan.
The UI is pinned to the target and database used to launch sqt dev. Displayed commands omit that
internal context, and the command box rejects target, database, connection, project, and variable
overrides. It autocompletes supported flags, model and pipeline selectors, and required confirmation
tokens.
After launch, inspect durable execution state in Runs. After a virtual build, use Deployments for inventory, comparison, promotion, and cleanup. Assessment and rollback remain available through the CLI. See Virtual Environments.
